Lindy Bop: girls dresses and wish list

Hello sweethearts!

My last Lindy Bop blog post is here! This time I will review my daughters first Lindy Bop dress and show you what is on my wish list (but not in my Shopping basket) so stick around!

I was super excited when Lindy Bop released their kids collection! I have a 6 year old daughter and, although she is not into fashion yet, I wanted to show her all those pretty dresses- of course, she was thrilled! She couldn't decide on her own what dress to purchase so I decided for her.

We got the 'Mini Grace' Children's Leopard Print Dress in size 7/8.

I will say right away- we love it!

What moms are immediately interested in when buying online is sizing- yes, Lindy Bop kids range is true to size chart on their page. My girl wears 122/128 size that firts 7/8yrs.

Mini Grace is a beautiful fully lined dress. It is made out of good quality, medium weight stretch cotton (I would compare it with Lindy Bop adult Wendy or Ola dress, it is not as thick as Ophelia and not thin like Audrey).

It has a wide flared skirt and bateau neckline so it is perfect for little girls! It is appropriate and very comfortable.

Dress has a hidden back zip and cute tie on the waist. I love it because it is winter in Croatia now so we can wear Grace with simple black shirt underneath or cardigan and thick tights.

And most important- little miss approves! ♥♥♥

I guess there is hope for a mother and daughter matchy style in the future :)

And now! My Lindy Bop wish list! I resisted huge sale because I was not 100% sure that the dresses on my list will fit me right. At the top of my list are "Matilda" dresses, I love that dress pattern so much and that is why 3 "Matildas" are on my list:

pink heart print, red polka dots and the famous bicycle print . BUT my main concer is that the waist on this dress is too high for my figure like on most of my LB dresses. I'm actually pretty sure that this dress wouldn't fit me but I am in love with the print and pattern.

'Suzie' Black Rockabilly Pin Up Dress and 'Mandy Lyn' 1950's Rockabilly Swing Dress in Vintage Olive Green are also on my wish list.

I find 'Aleena' Soft Pink Prom / Bridesmaid Dress and 'Ophelia' Dove Grey Evening Dress the impeccable dresses for a wedding! I love the lace on Aleena and the color of Ophelia, these two dresses will be in my basket very soon!

'Joy' Butchers Stripe Swing Dress and 'Janessa' Cabernet Polka Tea Dress are so beautiful but again, Im not sure about the waist.

Finally who could resist a perfect holiday dress?! 'Renee' Green Alpine Print Twin Set is an ultimate Christmas dress!

And after Christmas perfect dresses to wiggle into a New Year are 'Zsa Zsa' Leopard Print Twin Set Wiggle Dress and 'Lita' Black Cocktail Wiggle Dress.

Have a nice holidays everyone!

Love, Eleanor

Lindy Bop: Holiday dress for day and night

Hello sweethearts!

Are you preparing for Christmas?? I sure do! Between house decorating and University obligations (last year yey!) I had to write a blog post about my Holiday choice for this year. Lindy Bop sale has ended and I love love love seeing all of your outfits on Instagram #lindybop and #lindyboplove so this is my Lindy Bop purchase (old and a new one).

For day I find 'Wendy' Vintage 1950's Candy Stripe Peter Pan Collar Shirt Dress adorably appropriate for Holiday season because of that Candy cane look, and for night or a New Year party I will shine in my absolute favorite 'Kelsey' Black Fishtail Wiggle Dress.

'Wendy' Vintage 1950's Candy Stripe Peter Pan Collar Shirt Dress was a love at first sight! I love Peter Pan collars! Where to begin and how to write how much I love this dress?!

This dress can go from daily, diner style to elegant in a minute and a few right accessories! It is made out of lighter good quality stretch cotton fabric so when I got her in a size UK14 it was a little tight on my bust and since the buttons are real I had that ugly boob gap but nothing that needle and thread couldn't solve. That's why I find this dress a little bit smaller that usual by size chart.

It has a wide flared skirt that goes great without petticoat too so great for summer with that adorable cap sleeves! Wendy doesn't have a belt so I use my own, red or white (from Ebay).

Wendy features a hidden side zip so like most of Lindy Bop dresses it has to go over my head but honestly I got used to it. I hate that but 80% of dresses has side zip so I gave up hahah

I would really love to have this dress in other colors too ♥♥♥ It doesn't wrinkle very much so It is my daily "to go" dress, it's easy to style and I can feel like a teen again! I will wear it on Christmas day with gingerbread man brooch and elegant red pumps.

If someone had said to me a few months ago that I will wear this dress I would not believe it! But since I started working out and eat healthier changes are happening so this dress is my reward for all the hard work! 'Kelsey' Black Fishtail Wiggle Dress was my goal dress from the moment I saw her!

I was watching her for months and than suddenly it was out of stock! EVERYWHERE! What a nightmare! But great team at Lindy Bop did gave me a quick information that Kelsey will be back soon.

I saw a lot of gals had problems with Lindy Bop service during sale. I am very sorry to hear that, I honestly never had any remarks on their service, my orders always came super fast and exact. This time I didn't get the mail that my order is dispatched but it was still sent and delivered on time.

Now, about the Kelsey. I haven't seen any progress on my body since I have been working out so I ordered UK14 as usual- wrong!! When it came, the dress was too big for me so I had to take it to my seamstress (changing it would cost me much more).
NOTE: size down because it is very stretchy!!!
Besides that, when Kelsey came I was suprised how heavy the dress is! It is made out of good quality, stretch fabric with padded bust. OK, I admit- I was so in love with this dress that I didn't read the product details on Lindy Bop page hahaha

I had no idea that the lace at the bottom was longer on the back, at first I was not thrilled by that but now I like it. One thing I am not very pleased by is the lace on cap sleeves. I find it very delicate and fragile on a heavy dress like that. I am afraid of lifting my arms up so that I wouldn't rip her up :(
Cleavage is for the braver ones hahaha I wouldn't recomend it to a busty girls (but I am one) because even in a size L it is still too small for me (I'm a C cup).

But despite all I'm madly in love with this dress, It gives my new body much confidence and sex appeal.

Next week: my Lindy Bop wish list and a review of my daughters first Lindy Bop dress!

Love, Eleanor

Lindy Bop: blues

Hello sweethearts!

Holiday season has begun and so are the sales. But I am not going to write about that, not yet.
First let me write about two of my Lindy Bop dresses in blue: 'Ionia' Sea Blue Flared Shirt Swing Dress and 'Ola' Vintage 1950's Hawaiian Floral Sarong Style Wiggle dress which is currently available in light blue but I'm sure it will be back in floral too soon.

Ionia sea blue was a perfect day time 40's inspired dress for me, but unfortunately when I got her I didn't know what I know now and it came way too small for me. I asked for a size UK12 but since the dress is thin and very lights cotton fabric it runs small so it literally burst at the seams on me :(

It didn't fit on me, mostly on my bust and the waist was higher than it should be so when I realized I really can't wear it, with a heavy heart  I sold it. The dress itself is amazing! Perfect for summer! It's beautiful vibrant blue color with a contrasting pink polka dots and super cute (real) flower shaped buttons.

I loved the idea of wearing it with saddle shoes and just driving around on my bike while light wide flared skirt flutters in the wind. I really like the flattering V shaped neckline and short sleeves! Ionia has hidden side zip that I don't like but I loved the  back tie.

Before I said goodbye to her I did managed to get some nice styles covering the critical parts of the dress on me:

I totally grieve for this dress so if you like it go buy it now! It's a must have :)

Opposed to Ionia, Ola is a bombshell dress! It si a glamour fab sarong style dress inspired by 1950's holiday parties. And boy I sure do love to party in it ;)

Ola is made out of thicker medium weight cotton fabric so it still fits me in size UK12 although I am UK14 now, and it provides a little strech so it is very comfortable!

Decorative, flattering waterfall ruffle to left side of skirt is perfect for a tummy hide and the extra wide halter neck ties gives your girls the right support ;) This dress is great for busty gals and the ones who, like me, wear a size 14 and up because it is elasticated on the top of the back for extra comfort & great fit and has a flattering subtle sweetheart halter neck.

Ola is designed to create the perfect hourglass 50’s silhouette so if you want to dress to impress next summer be sure to check it out. It is one of my favorite dresses!

And Lindy Bop is still running a huge sale: http://www.lindybop.co.uk/sale-c49
Wanna see what I got for holidays on Lindy Bop shop?+ Lindy Bop kids/ girl dress :)
Stay tuned!
